Drivalia, the rental, leasing and mobility company of Crédit Agricole Auto Bank, has inaugurated in Lyon, and for the first time in France, its 100% electric car-sharing service E+Share Drivalia. A fleet of 50 electric Fiat 500s is already available in Lyon, Villeurbanne, Vénissieux, Bron and Caluire-et-Cuire and by the end of 2023, 200 vehicles will be made available to the inhabitants of the Lyon Metropolis.
A car-sharing service that will gradually be extended to other municipalities
While 50 E+Share Drivalia vehicles are already available to Lyonnais, there will be 200 by the end of the year. This free-floating car-sharing service allows you to reserve electric vehicles in the communes of Lyon, Villeurbanne, Vénissieux, Bron and Caluire-et-Cuire before the deployment to other communes of the Lyon Metropolis in 2024. E+Share Drivalia will then also be accessible in the cities of Saint Fons, Oullins, La Mulatière, Sainte Foy Les Lyon, Tassin La Demi-Lune and Ecully.
Making electric mobility accessible
The new electric Fiat 500 has been chosen to make up the fleet of this car-sharing service. Vehicles can be rented simply through a mobile app, via a monthly subscription for regular users or on demand for occasional needs. Subscribers benefit from an additional advantage: the possibility to use the service in all cities where E+Share Drivalia is present: Turin, Rome and Milan.
E+Share Drivalia allows you to travel with in cities that are gradually setting up low-emission zones, with zero-emission vehicles. Already present for two years in Italy, the arrival of E+Share Drivalia in France is an important step in the strategy of {tilde over (CF)} to support the new uses of sustainable mobility. The mobility service could “be offered in other European metropolises” according to Stéphane Priami, Managing Director of Consumer Finance. For Giacomo Carelli, Chief Executive Officer of – Auto Bank, it is an ideal solution to respond to the “emergence of new modes of mobility”, particularly shared. He adds that in France, car sharing already represents “460,000 users, a number that increased by 43% last year”.
