Climate and Low-Carbon Transition

Acting for the Climate: Our Commitments to the Low-Carbon Transition

Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility is working towards a low-carbon economy through four key axes: mobility, housing, consumption, and the reduction of our carbon footprint. Our ambition is twofold: to support our customers in the energy transition, sustainable mobility, and responsible consumption and to reduce our own carbon footprint.

Objectives

  • One new vehicle 100% electric out of 3 financed by end-2025.
  • A 50% reduction in the carbon footprint of automotive financing by 2030 (vs. 2020)
  • Being a leader in electric mobility in Europe.

Action Plan

  1. A full range of rental products: long-term rental (LTR), lease with option to purchase, leasing for all durations, subscription, etc.
  2. A pan-European geographical footprint, optimised digital tools and services, and recognised expertise in car financing.
  3. Partnerships with leading electric vehicle manufacturers.
  4. A comprehensive catalogue of related and innovative services such as electric charging stations, vehicle delivery, warranty extensions and maintenance contracts.

Results

  • 37% of electrified vehicles financed by the end of 2024 (target: 50% by 2025)
  • 24% of fully electric vehicles financed as early as 2024
  • At the end of 2024 a 25% reduction in financed emissions (138 gCO₂/km compared with 185 gCO₂/km in 2020), achieving the target one year ahead of schedule

No single player can act alone: the success of the transition relies on collective mobilization
