Ethics and Compliance

Ethics and compliance at Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility encompass all the principles, rules and frameworks that govern the conduct of our activities. They ensure compliance with applicable regulations, risk prevention and the maintenance of long-term trust with all our stakeholders.

Our Vision of Ethics

Being a responsible financial services provider means acting with transparency, integrity and exemplary conduct. Our activities are grounded in a clear and demanding reference framework that ensures regulatory compliance while affirming our ambition: to make ethics a true driver of trust, performance and positive differentiation. Our approach is based on three core principles:

Integrity

in our business practices and commercial relationships,

Responsibility

in our strategic decision-making,

Transparency

in our communication and governance.

This ethical culture is embedded on a daily basis through employee behaviour, training and the tools made available to our employees.

Responsible and Committed Governance

The governance of Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility is structured to ensure a sustainable balance between economic performance, societal impact and regulatory requirements. It aims to prevent non-compliance risks, safeguard the integrity of decision-making and promote responsible business conduct.

Our ethics and compliance governance is built on:

  • the involvement of senior management bodies and internal control functions,
  • regular reporting to the Group Executive Committee and the Board of Directors on sensitive ethical matters, significant alerts and any identified breaches,
  • a multidisciplinary team (Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, Sustainable Development) responsible for operational oversight, updating the Code of Conduct and monitoring its application,
  • the key role of managers, who act as ambassadors of ethical culture, relay guidelines and address early warning signs within their teams.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is fully integrated into this governance framework. Led directly by the Group Executive Committee (GEC), it relies on the CSR Department and the Citizen Engagement Department to coordinate and deploy our initiatives.

Tools that Frame our Practices

To structure and deploy our ethics and compliance approach, we rely on shared reference tools across the Crédit Agricole Group, adapted and implemented within our entities.

The Crédit Agricole Group Ethics Charter

The Ethics Charter, shared by the entire Group, defines our founding values – proximity, responsibility and solidarity – as well as the principles that guide our relationships with all our stakeholders. It expresses our collective ambition to act with integrity, in the best interests of our customers and society.

The CA Personal Finance & Mobility Code of Conduct

Our Code of Conduct translates the commitments of the Ethics Charter into day-to-day practice. It sets out the standards of behaviour to be adopted in our relationships with customers and suppliers, in the areas of social and environmental responsibility, anti-corruption efforts and the protection of the Group’s reputation. Applicable to all employees, it serves as a practical guide for acting with integrity, transparency and vigilance.

The Crédit Agricole Corpus Fides

Corpus Fides is the Crédit Agricole Group’s reference framework for compliance. It brings together procedural guidelines that define the rules applicable to entities, executives and employees, while reflecting regulatory developments. Implemented within each entity, it ensures consistent compliance practices and raises standards across all our operations.
