Our endowment fund

About

To strengthen social cohesion and inclusion, Crédit Agricole, through its Societal Project, is committed to supporting the social mobility of younger generations. Focused on reducing social inequalities through employment, training, and inclusion, it aims to welcome 50,000 interns and apprentices between 2022 and 2025. Part of a continuous improvement approach, it enhances its efforts by specifically targeting "birth-heritage" social determinism, which is a source of persistent social inequalities and barriers to inclusion and social cohesion.

Such an ambition requires concrete actions, on a large scale, across France in REP, REP+ areas, and rural revitalization zones, capable of mobilizing the Group’s employees, elected officials, and shareholders.

To support projects with a direct or systemic impact by organizations operating in its territories, Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility has created the For Youth endowment fund, dedicated to inclusion through the social mobility of younger generations.

An Approach Spread Internationally

More than an endowment fund, For Youth is an approach that aims to engage for young people in all territories where Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility is present.

Whether it's budget education workshops, professional meetings, mentoring, or the financial or skills-based sponsorship of employees for young people distanced from employment, the approach is a strong marker.

Our Governance

To best address these young people who face barriers to entering the job market, it is necessary to act with those most concerned.

For Youth is governed by a demanding, innovative, and pragmatic structure.

The Board of Directors consists of ten members with a three-year term, six of whom are from Crédit Agricole and four qualified external experts. It sets the strategic direction for the endowment fund and oversees project financing decisions.

The investment committee is composed of three members for a three-year term. It advises the board of directors on the placement of the endowment, taking into account the Fund’s challenges and ambitions.

The Shadow Board is an advisory committee of young people. It consists of ten people, three of whom are from Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility and seven external to the company. Its mission is to challenge the Fund’s strategic direction, assist in selecting the most relevant projects, and promote systemic reflection and action on the issues the Fund aims to address. The Shadow Board has a seat on the Fund's Board of Directors.

Empower each young person to be the author of their life and society

For Youth: Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility’s Fund for Equal Opportunities and Youth Employment Access

In 2023, CAPFM created For Youth, an endowment fund to unite our entities and create a dynamic around youth. It supports youth entrepreneurship, education, preparation for the jobs of tomorrow, inclusion, and fosters mutual aid between young people and seniors.

In line with the Crédit Agricole Group’s “CA for Youth” program, aimed at promoting social mobility for younger generations, Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility, through For Youth, aims to take positive and concrete action for the professional integration of young people, while supporting initiatives related to its sector of activity. Innovative projects with direct and immediate impact for young people who need it the most are rigorously selected and monitored within a governance structure that is close to the field and atypical. The Fund is overseen by a committee of 10 young people, the “Shadow Board,” whose mission is to challenge its strategic direction and participate in the project selection process. Young people from vocational high schools, scholarship students, and job seekers have already benefited from *For Youth’s* support. The approach is being rolled out in the countries where Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility is present.

Key Features of the Fund

  • Support initiatives related to Crédit Agricole Personal Finance & Mobility’s areas of activity (green mobility, repairability, circular economy, energy renovation)
  • Enable employees to engage in the projects they support
  • Implement a systematic impact measurement to track the benefits of actions on young people

The Four Areas of Focus of the Fund:

  • Enabling access to entrepreneurship and innovation
  • Training for the jobs of tomorrow and in high demand
  • Promoting more inclusive employability (particularly for young people from Priority Neighborhoods, rural areas, or living with disabilities…)
  • Promoting intergenerational transmission

"Acting every day in the best interests of our clients and society"

Being by your side is our reason for being. With our commitment at the core of our DNA, we foster dialogue between associations and public interest organizations. *For Youth* supports young people by enabling them to actively participate in shaping their future and the economic world of tomorrow. They are supported by our employees, encouraged to get involved with associations in solidarity actions, and to take on skills-based volunteering missions.

Skills-Based Volunteering

Skills-based volunteering enables employees to carry out public interest actions during their working hours, with or without using their professional skills.

As part of the "J’agis" program of the Crédit Agricole group, we offer each CAPFM employee in France the opportunity to engage in up to 5 days (40 hours) of skills-based volunteering with supported associations.

For Youth implements a support program that allows CAPFM employees to get involved occasionally or regularly by providing individual or collective human support to middle schoolers, high schoolers, students, young workers, or inactive young people.

Solidarity Boosts

Solidarity Boosts is a program from the Crédit Agricole group that we are very committed to. Through this program, CA Personal Finance & Mobility values and encourages its employees’ involvement in projects with a positive impact on society and the environment by funding association projects that are close to their hearts. Employees with an association project can receive financial assistance of up to €2,000 to help make it a reality.

In 2024, these projects were organized around the themes of the group’s Societal Project, with a special category dedicated to For Youth, in order to continue and strengthen the commitment to young people at all levels.
